Creamy white butter salmon steaks

Ingredients
- 4 salmon steaks
- 60 g butter, cut into pieces
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 5 cl white wine
- 1 finely chopped shallot + a little for garnish
- 2 tbsp thick cream
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the white wine and lemon juice. Add the shallot and reduce over medium heat until the liquid has almost evaporated, being careful not to let the shallot color. Add the butter. Season with salt and pepper. Stir until melted.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the shallot pieces. Add the cream and whisk until smooth.
- Grill the salmon steaks over high heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve the salmon steaks with the sauce and optionally with the minced shallot.
Tip
Feel free to serve the salmon steaks with steamed vegetables for a complete meal!
